Before turning primarily to Chinese medicine, I worked with enthusiasm and commitment as a conventional family doctor.

Today I treat mainly with Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. It is important to me not to lose sight of the principles of conventional medicine, and to carry out conventional medical investigation and treatment where necessary.

I often also act as a 'translator' of specialist medical findings and their significance for the patient.

My area of special interest:

• Gynaecology: menstrual cycle disorders, fertility issues, menopause
• Chronic and recurrent infections: sinuses, cystitis, etc.
• Pain: throughout the body, back, joints, head and mind
• Malaise/tiredness/dissatisfaction with or without underlying medical or psychological causes

I treat teenagers from age 14 and adults

I speak German, English, French, Italian (a little Spanish)

• 2008: Certificate of Proficiency in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ASA)
• 2008: Specialist in Internal Medicine FMH
• 2002: Doctoral thesis 'Breath Therapy According to I. Middendorf in Switzerland: A Scientific Survey from the Patient's Perspective'
• 2000–2007: Resident physician in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurorehabilitation and Dermatology, plus various locum positions
• 1999: Swiss Federal Diploma in Medicine, Zurich (state examination)
